Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane on Ramon Road just west of Bob Hope Drive in Rancho Mirage from Thursday, May 25 through Friday, June 9. A Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) contractor will be installing 36-inch pipe to better serve existing and future customers in the area. The work will not interrupt water service.
The closure will involve 1,200 feet of Ramon Road. It starts at 6 a.m. Thursday and will include weekends and Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving past the construction zone and to avoid the area if possible. CVWD appreciates everyone’s patience while the work is being performed.
The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 109,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
