Two lanes of traffic will be closed on northbound Washington Street between Hidden River Road and Avenue 42 in Bermuda Dunes on Wednesday, Aug. 2 and Thursday, Aug. 3.
Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) crews will be replacing manhole frames and covers between 3 a.m. and 4 p.m. on those days.
The closures will be in effect 24 hours a day for safety reasons.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and to expect delays when driving past the work zone and to avoid the area if possible.
CVWD appreciates everyone’s patience while the work is being performed.
The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional storm water protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 109,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
