The Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) Board of Directors will conduct is next regular public meeting in the evening instead of the morning. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 12 in the auditorium at CVWD’s Steven Robbins Administration Building in Palm Desert. Closed session will begin at 5 p.m. and open session will begin at 6 p.m.
The evening meeting is part of on-going efforts to increase CVWD’s transparency and accessibility to the general public.
Normal meetings for the five-person elected board are at at 8 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month and alternate between CVWD facilities in Coachella and Palm Desert.
The agenda for the Sept. 12 meeting will be published no later than Friday, Sept. 8 at www.cvwd.org. The public is provided time to speak to items on the meeting’s agenda and to comment about any district or water-related topic.
The Stephen Robbins Administration Building is at 75-515 Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert. Free parking for the board meeting is located immediately in front of the building.
The Coachella Valley Water District is a public agency governed by a five-member board of directors. The district provides domestic and irrigation water, agricultural drainage, wastewater treatment and reclamation services, regional stormwater protection, groundwater management and water conservation. It serves approximately 109,000 residential and business customers across 1,000 square miles, located primarily in Riverside County, but also in portions of Imperial and San Diego counties.
