One left turn lane on westbound Ramon Road to Bob Hope Drive south is expected to be closed through July as Coachella Valley Water District contractors install new water pipe on Bob Hope Drive.
Sections of northbound and southbound traffic on Bob Hope Drive south to Dinah Shore Drive will be limited to one lane in each direction.
Work hours are 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays on Bob Hope Drive, but lane closures are enforced 24 hours a day for safety reasons. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving past the construction zone and to avoid the area if possible.
A contractor is installing 36-inch pipe to better serve existing and future customers in the area. The work will not interrupt water service.
The work will continue on Bob Hope Drive through one block south of Dinah Shore. The project is expected to be complete by the end of July.
