Emergency Preparedness

Information About Agua Caliente Lawsuit
The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians filed a lawsuit on May 14, 2013 against Coachella Valley Water District and Desert Water Agency seeking to take away the public’s water use rights and prevent the agencies from delivering water to their customers. CVWD is providing the following documents to help educate customers about this important issue.

Water-use Restrictions
The State Water Resources Control Board on March 17, 2015 approved emergency regulations for mandatory conservation in response to California’s historic drought.

Enterprise System Catalog
The California Public Records Act (CPRA) requires local agencies such as Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) to create a catalog of Enterprise Systems and post it on its website no later than July 1, 2016. Annual updates also are required.
